Friend

First meeting Max and Lucy in 2020 Melbourne, Violet was entrapped in a haunted house based in Fitzroy where she was tasked with the mission to collect 27 ghosts to place across various buildings to increase their spook-factor.
However, she soon realises there’s more to her being there thanks to her friend Croaky the poltergeist, and joins the mission to restore the Keppell Machine.
After saving a friend from certain doom, she is left to travel across the universe with Mandrake, until she is summoned back to reality by Wally Winker, in doing so, bringing many versions of herself across the multiverse to form a superhuman version of herself.
Now, she lives a restored life and travels across the universe with Professor Paradox.

Ethereal and knowledgeable, Wanda continues to reappear in Lily's psyche as a mysterious woman who she believes is not real, or so she is lead to believe until she is released back into the material world.
When Lily has her memory restored of the true events, it is revealed Wanda was an interim member of Celestial Avenue under the eye of Professor Paradox, who brought Lily to the bookshop and over time fell in love with her.
With reality back on course, Wanda and Lily now run Gibbon's Guild Bookshop by day but keep the monsters of Melbourne at bay.
Casper
Friend
First appears in The Thick Of It
Casper becomes a chief scientist to Boltizor when he is snake-charmed into believing that he is in fact his father.
When the spell is broken, he soon understands the damage he has caused and does his best to do good in return at Celestial Avenue.
He however has a troubled relationship with Professor Paradox as they don’t agree on the same moral values.
This curbs him onto a path of darkness where he eventually transforms into something greater than he could ever imagine, but with the help from Max, has his history altered and learns that there is more to life.
Boltizor
Enemy
First appears in The Strings That Pull
Fiendish, devious and evil to the core, Boltizor is a terrifying individual who has the physical appearance of a man and a snake through mutations of his own making.
As time passes, we learn that Boltizor used to be a human named Andrew who lived a happy life until his scientific research completely took him over.
He now spends his days using his methods of alchemy to introduce all kinds of horrors into Earth’s ecosystem.
The Clockmaker
Enemy
First appears in Gate Crashers
The Clockmaker is a master of deception who uses the ability to rewrite one’s personal history to change subtle courses of events, while even changing those involved into completely different people.
He uses his sinister abilities to rewrite Max’s memory so he forgets everything that ever happened to him at Celestial Avenue to prevent a cosmic event.
Across the multiverse, different versions of the Clockmaker exist, including one who uses his methods for good by creating peaceful outcomes in dire circumstances, but his ulterior motives of his other selves soon creep back over time.
Buxton
Enemy
First appears in The Thick Of It
Terrifying and deceptive, Buxton is a mutant half chocolate midge-fly half human who throws concoctions together and sells it as confectionary.
He first used his experiments on Yodalin as a ploy to entice people to buy his chocolate, but it turned out to be a ruthless plan to hatch a new family of giant midge flies, which ultimately failed.
Buxton was presumed dead, but a version of himself from an alternate reality lived on in a strange humanoid form and travelled back to the real timeline to work with the Clockmaker to kill Professor Paradox finally, ultimately succeeding.
After remaining in hiding, Buxton used his devices to find a human alter ego which he placed under a different name and used his chemistry and alchemy as a fabrication of his identity.
He then brought together Angus and Helen in Soho to bring vengeance to Professor Paradox once he learned he was brought back from the dead, but met his own sticky end by reverting back into his old body when Angus and Helen realised who he really was.
Max
Friend
First appears in The Strings That Pull
Once a humble kitchen hand at the city university, Max’s life changed forever when he met Professor Paradox, who tasked him with stopping Boltizor from turning the human population into taxidermy puppets.
While he is stubborn and sees things at face value, Max strives for perfection and learns day by day that there’s more to the universe than he first realised.
Wally Winker
Celestial Being
First appears in Anomaly
Nobody knows his true intentions, but Wally has been known to help on both the sides of good and evil.
Originating from the Celestial Realm, he was cursed by his people and was trapped in the form of the terrifying Wicker in the haunted Fitzroy house.
As time passed, his true form came back, and he remained the caretaker of the house hoarding ghosts of Violet from across the multiverse in the hope to bring her back from the universe she and Mandrake were sent to.
When his mission was complete, he assisted Grizzler in kidnapping Yodalin to release her from her earthly bonds when they discovered she was the disguised creature that Genesis and Exodus left behind on their last venture on Earth.
Not long after, Grizzler vowed to torture Wally until he told him where to find the Resurrection Blade, which lead them to their brief alliance with the Flickerer.
Once all had ended and Yodalin was separated from her former self, Lydia entrusted Wally to run Gibbon's Guild Bookshop in her absence, but it was bound to be sooner or later that Wally would end up on his next misadventure.
Grizzler
Enemy
First appears in The Butcher Of Brunswick
By day, Grizzler appears to be a friendly local Brunswick butcher.
By night however is a different story when he takes it upon himself to sever the limbs of those who are in debt and need to make drastic repayments.
With his collected sacrifices, he sells them on the black market for those in need of better organs or limbs to the wealthy to create perfect designer appearances.
He does this for Gibbons, who used to be an alien book worm, but wanted a human body.
Wiping his memory in the process, Gibbons returns frequently to lend his body to those like Exodus Chaos without his own knowing.
Grizzler kidnapped Yodalin when he realised her true potential and released her from her human self as an attempt to destroy Melbourne, but ultimately failed in the process.
His true greatest prize he seeks is the brain of a Celestial Being and has a particular interest in Professor Paradox.
Yodalin
Friend
First appears in The Thick Of It
While being the restrained dark horse of Celestial Avenue, Yodalin proves herself constantly as a worthy member of the team fighting against evil on a regular basis.
She finds herself embroiled in the world of strange absurdity during a chance visit to a parlor owned by Buxton’s Confectionary where she eats a fudge that makes her swell to larger than life proportions.
She soon defeats Buxton for the first time and meets the team at Celestial Avenue after she is taken over by the Flickerer, who uses her physical form as a way of reaching reality, but once she is freed and learns that there are more monsters out there in the universe, makes it her job to prevent Melbourne from calamity.
Gary Gizmo
Friend
First appears in Feast Of The Catharo
An elusive member of the Celestial Realm, Gary is one of the more motley purveyors of inter-dimensional travel.
With an ocker sense of humor and laughable grandeur, he and Lily travel across the universe to seek out the answer behind the Catharo and why they are destroying the world.
While he still remains a mystery, it is unknown whether Gary has had any personal experience with other Celestial beings.
Lucy
Friend
First appears in The Strings That Pull
Lucy is the founding member of the Celestial Avenue team who chased down Professor Paradox after witnessing a surge in strange and absurd occurrences throughout Melbourne.
She soon realises that there needs to be people positioned to prevent infiltration and invasion from monsters, so makes it her task by informing anyone who will listen through her blog.
Christina
Friend
First appears in Missing Piece
Christina enters the world of strangeness when she is adopted as a double agent for Genesis Serenity and makes it her mission to find the Probability Engine, but as time goes on, learns that her endurance and determination become more important than ever.
Having won a prestigious writers award, she becomes the brain that powers the Keppell Machine once finding it and creates scenarios and events for her friends to work out with the power of her mind.
When she is released from the shackles of the machine, she turns recluse and lives a quieter life far away from danger.
Professor Paradox
Celestial Being
First appears in The Strings That Pull
An interstitial being from the Celestial Realm, the definitive Professor is a misfit, rogue and misunderstood dogooder.
He escaped the Realm during the brink of war between the Celestials and Elementals and found refuge on Earth, where he set up his home in an old curiosity shop on Celestial Avenue, off Little Bourke Street in Chinatown.
Here, he has slowly but surely assembled a team who help him fight against monsters and creatures that are conjured by the Glam Gizmo and does his best to ensure the safety of the universe.
However his departure from the material world has made things difficult for him in the past, but with the assistance of his friends, he was able to find his physical form again.
He and Violet now travel across the dimensional-plane with the means of his grandfather clock, an earthly artifact that keeps him anchored to reality.
Exodus Chaos
Enemy
First appears in Missing Piece
While Genesis is the light, Exodus Chaos is the darkness of the universe.
He wears the body of a former country hotel owner named Jasper and kidnaps Christina to use her abilities to feed the Probability Engine to create scenarios for Lucy, Violet, Yodalin and Casper to escape on Earth, thus bringing a Crawly invasion.
He and Genesis left the material world, but he later met Casper and an alternate Violet and Croaky in a simulation of the underworld where he told them the prophecy of the Clockmaker and the Child of the Eternals.
He was then later summoned back to reality to assist in the saving of Earth, reluctantly agreeing to help the other Celestial Beings, but realised the only way out would be for him and Genesis to unify into the one entity and turning to the side of neutral rather than evil.
Genesis Serenity
Celestial Being
First appears in The Soul Collector
The Guardian of the Light of the universe, Genesis worked alongside Professor Paradox from the sidelines of Earth to ensure Lucy, Violet, Yodalin and Casper would meet and keep Melbourne safe.
Every now and then he would intervene and help those in need, but often sent out agents like Christina to do his bidding.
When he came face-to-face with Exodus Chaos, they sacrificed each other by jumping into an endless vortex through the multiverse network, lost forever.
However, another version of Genesis Serenity returned when the Earth was once again in peril.
When this other version realised Yodalin had evolved into her true form, she and Exodus realised the only way of saving the universe would be to unify and become the one entity.
After she banished Boltizor to the dark dimensions, her image remained in the serpent's mind when he met the Catharo, thus the daughter of the Queen who became Lily was made in Genesis Serenity's image.
Oliver Keppell
Enemy
First appears in Death By Paradox
Oliver is an eccentric Bowie-esque glam rock artist who has fallen to the last resort of his music career when he is asked to fund a scientific research project which leads to the creation of the Glam Gizmo (or the Probability Engine).,
Not long after the public opening of the self-endorsed Keppell Machine, Oliver mysteriously disappears never to be seen again.
Gibbons
Friend
First appears in Gate Crashers
Gibbons is a reformed criminal who changed his ways when he first met Professor Paradox and was given the choice to steal a priceless jewel or regift life.
He is an alien book worm creature who loves loitering around libraries and bookshops, which helped the Professor greatly when someone needed to mind Celestial Avenue as he frequently left Earth.
Gibbons however only remembers himself as a person thanks to Grizzler's intervening, giving him a human body to blend in society with.
After the Professor died, he and Lydia ran the bookshop together up until he, Casper and Violet went back in time to discover the truth behind the Glam Gizmo, and in his final adventure, sacrificed himself to save reality from impending doom.
Mandrake
Celestial Being
First appears in Monsters Of Melbourne
Mandrake is a Celestial who acts as a humanoid vessel that can only be psychically piloted by two people at a time trapped in his conscience.
He brought an unknown prisoner to the material world, but saved Max when he was killed by the Wicker and brought him temporarily back to life, until Violet was put in his place.
He later taught a splinter version of Casper the methodology of becoming a Celestial, leading him to become the Clockmaker.
Mandrake in a bodiless form then released Violet completely and brought together all versions of herself from across the multiverse, giving her strong cosmic abilities.
His state of being remains unknown.
Professor Paradox
Celestial Being
First appears in The Curious Case Of The Speckled Hen
This version of the Professor exists in a universe where everything occurs slightly differently in Melbourne 1968, where he and his friends Lucinda and Hector keep the city in order.
He however traverses across to our universe when he learns that the Professor we have come to know is also from another universe, and was tasked by the Celestial Realm to find the true identity.
In doing so, he released Max from his human self and ensured he and Lucy entered the Eternal Realm safely bringing order to reality once again.
It is assumed he returned to his proper timeline, but little information is known.
Professor Paradox
Celestial Being
First appears in 3nDgAm3
When The Clockmaker struck a conference call with the other Celestials, this version of the Professor supposedly showed up.
It is later revealed though however that the Flickerer stowed them away, taking their physical form as a disguise.
In one version of events, this Professor was responsible for creating the Glam Gizmo with the Max Professor, but as people intervene, it's understood that this morally corrupt version was a shadow cast from the dark dimensions, leaving the identity of this Professor slightly lesser understood.
Professor Paradox
Celestial Being
First appears in The Paradox Problem
This version of the Professor lives in a domain called Paradox Castle, which is presumably the Professor's childhood home.
Guarding paintings of their other selves, they are aware of how their other versions interact across the universe and ensures they are all kept in equilibrium.
When they meet Lily and Violet, the Professor testifies that they are trapped within the confines of the Castle, but sooner or later they find out this version is not telling them everything. . . .
The Flickerer
Enemy
First Appears in The Embers That Shine So Bright
The Flickerer is a spectral non-visible jumble of sound waves who inhibits anything that anyone can hear.
He likes to adopt the voices of radio and podcast personas shaping them to his own desire, but craves to take over the minds of those in the physical realm, which he did with Yodalin, but was later trapped inside Casper's phone.
The Flickerer later appeared when he was released by Grizzler and Wally into the Metaverse where he eliminated all vision and pitted those within to cruel mind games.
He was supposedly banished when Lydia, Genesis, Exodus and the Clockmaker broke the fourth wall and blocked them out of the listener's mind, thus eliminating him from known reality.
But he waits in his own domain of noise and soundwaves waiting for the right moment to strike back.
Mrs. Ellis
Enemy
First appears in The Thick Of It
Mrs. Ellis was adopted by Buxton as his channel to the human race to adopt Yodalin into her career as a connoisseur, but knew that universal domination would be on her cards.
When she thought the day had arrived, she attempted to end the human race with Buxton's powers but met her demise instead.
