Following the events of THE ARNHEM PROJECT, Lily finds herself pulled into an unsettling encounter with a mysterious figure known only as the Wheeler Dealer — a cryptic interstitial being capable of manipulating timelines, tempting fate and steering people toward entirely different paths in life.
What begins as a quiet night in Melbourne quickly spirals into fractured realities and alternate versions of history, forcing Lily to confront what her life may have looked like had she never stepped foot into Celestial Avenue.

Making their debut in the series, the Wheeler Dealer emerges as one of the stranger forces introduced into The Glam Gizmo mythos so far — a being fascinated by human choice, alternate realities and the consequences of destiny itself.
Also introduced is Rosie, an enigmatic young woman who appears to know far more about Lily than she should. As timelines begin to collide, Rosie becomes increasingly tied to the future of both Lily and the wider universe around her.
Meanwhile Mandy, the owner of Danny’s Restaurant, offers Lily a glimpse into a quieter alternate life far removed from the chaos of Celestial Avenue.
Written and directed by Tom Denham, SMOKE AND MIRRORS continues Season 6’s growing focus on grief, identity and the ripple effect of personal decisions across space and time.
